    The Role:

  • Perform mechanical design and development for complex electronic systems
  • Design and validate systems and subsystems to meet program objectives
  • Participate in the cross-discipline design process working with other HW and SW team members to develop optimized integrated solutions
  • Conduct failure analysis and solution validation for product development and fleet systems
  • Support positive team interactions to accomplish program objectives
  • Enable and support project teams to achieve timely delivery of products
  • Manage interaction with overseas resources
  • Apply technical expertise to problem solving throughout product life-cycle

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in Mechanical Systems Design and Development
  • Experience with at least one standard commercial CAD software package
  • 3+ years of mechanical testing and validation experience


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in mechanical and thermal design and system architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver hardware products in a multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility environment
  • Experience working with CM/OEM/ODM vendors in product development and third party technology developers.
  • Demonstrated ability to run tests, including instrumentation, data collection and analysis, and correlation with analytical results
  • Experience gathering technical requirements and developing technical specifications
