Description You will serve as a Physician (Pediatrics) in the Pediatric Department of NMRTC SAN DIEGO CA.

THIS IS A DHA. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate 5 years of graduate training in the specialty of the position to be filled or equivalent experience and training.

This experience/training will provide comprehensive pediatric medical care to a broad range of patients from birth to young adulthood with both common and complex medical concerns; care includes diagnosis, prevention, therapy, maintenance and rehabilitation for enrolled patients within the scope of clinical privileges; will also serve as a recognized expert, consultant, faculty member, and/ or advisor on boards and committees, in conferences, and other activities.


Applicants must also be able to satisfy clinical privileges requirements which, in addition to the above, includes the following:
  • Completion of a residency program in the specialty approved by the American specialty board or AOA, board certification, or board eligible
  • Completion of a fellowship program in the specialty approved by the American specialty board or AOA, board certification, or board eligible
  • Current clinical competence (e.g., privileged to independently practice a Pediatric Physician within the past 2 years, actively practiced within the past 2 years by having encountered a sufficient number of clinical cases to represent a broad spectrum of the privileges required)
  • No health status contraindications to granting clinical privileges
  • Board certification is desired but not required
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: This position have selective placement factors that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factors are:
  • Possession of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Certification
  • Possession of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Healthcare Providers Certification
  • Possession of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers Certification
