Job summary
Amazon Air (AIR) is seeking a Program Manager (PM), Regional Quality Manager to work within the AIR - Amazon Customer Excellence System (ACES). The ideal candidate will: build strong working relationships, value simplicity, leverage technology to eliminate waste, reduce variation and drive scalable operational excellence.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage full life-cycle of complex cross-functional programs with considerable impact across multiple organizations.
  • Development of overall program strategies, tactically driving teams in and outside of your organization to deliver.
  • Define programs (mission, vision, tenets), set objectives, analyze data and drive improvements that are quantified with metrics.
  • Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions and reasons behind leadership decisions.
  • Partner with teams across the businesses you support and beyond to source, allocate, and coordinate resources.
  • Partner with customers, internal/external teams, and engineering teams to determine what projects move forward and in what priority order.
  • Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks).
  • Work with program managers, business leaders and executive teams to communicate and impact critical business initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects.
  • Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers.
  • Create, communicate, and manage budget for projects.
  • Travel up to 75% of the time.

About the team
Air ACES is an organization that is critical to the success of the Air network. It is a key stakeholder at intake to understand organizational feedback and customer pain points to better align the team for success.
We build and support tools and services for Amazon Air businesses. Common themes include centralized information to drive operational decision making, clear and scalable standard work, balanced support across both 3P and Blue Badge customers, strong customer partnership and continuous improvement.


  • 3+ years experience in program or project management
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
3+ years of progressive responsibility in transportation operations or related field.


Advanced degree/Master’s degree (Math, Engineering, Science, Business).
Lean / Six Sigma experience.
Experience in writing SQL queries and mining databases.
Champion ACES principles despite the pressure to deviate – regardless of the direction from which it originates.
Experience organizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment when working in stressful situations.
Demonstrable problem-solving, mathematic and analytical skills using data to drive decisions in a business environment.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency in effective communication of goals and strategies across multiple leadership levels of an organization.
Amazon Operational experience in Fulfillment Center, Sort Center, Delivery Station or AIR.
